The next morning, we’ll drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is not only rich in historical monuments but also deeply connected with the birth of Christianity in Georgia. Afterward, we’ll continue to Kazbegi, passing by the Zhinvali Reservoir and stopping at Ananuri Castle, which has long protected this region.
Along the way, we’ll also visit Fasanauri, where the Black and White Aragvi rivers converge, creating a picturesque scene. Next, we’ll reach Gudauri Panorama, one of the most breathtaking views in Georgia, where the endless Caucasus Mountains stretch into the sky. Snow-capped peaks and jagged cliffs create a stunning landscape, making it a haven for skiers in winter and a peaceful retreat for mountain walkers in summer.
We’ll then visit the Gergeti Trinity Church, perched at 2170 meters on the slopes of Kazbegi Mountain. This 14th-century church offers a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, creating an unforgettable combination of natural beauty and spiritual strength. It’s one of the most inspiring sites in Georgia.
At the end of the day, we’ll return to Tbilisi for a restful night.
